Why this site exists
Every few months a client asked some version of the same question: is my VPN actually on, and what does the other end of the connection see? Checking meant opening a site plastered with pop-ups, a fake "your location has been compromised" banner, and a countdown timer selling something.
This site exists because that check should take two seconds and cost nothing. Load the page, read the address, close the tab. No banner, no scare copy, no account.
How the tool works
The address shown to you is the one your connection presented when it reached our edge. There is no other way to obtain it, and that is the whole trick: the network already knows, and we print it back.
We do not log the addresses we display, we do not build a visitor profile from them, and we do not resell lookup data. The page is static, so no database sits behind it holding your history.
What accuracy means here
Geolocation from an IP address is an estimate, not a fact, and the page says so instead of overstating it. City-level guesses are wrong often enough that presenting them as certainty would be dishonest. Where a result is approximate, it is labeled approximate.
Who operates iplookup.info
iplookup.info is owned and operated by Noble Erne, LLC, an independent technology consultancy. Noble Erne builds and maintains a small group of single-purpose web utilities, each on its own domain, each written and reviewed separately.
The site is funded by advertising and, on a few pages, clearly labeled affiliate links. Nothing on the site is paid placement. No advertiser has any influence over what the guides say or what the tools report.

Content on this site is written and reviewed in-house at Noble Erne, LLC. Enterprise systems consultant with a background in SAP implementation, software documentation, and instructional design. Builds the tools and writes the explainers on this site.
Every explainer on this site is written from scratch for this domain and reviewed before publication. Pages carry a review date so you can tell how current they are. When something turns out to be wrong, it gets corrected rather than quietly deleted.
